Robert Treuherz, MD, has a history of medical practice that spans nearly 40 years. Over the course of his career, he has served as an Internal Medicine physician for the Holy Cross Medical Group in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a medical director for the Palm Air Medical Center in Pompano Beach, Florida, and a consulting and admitting physician with both 5 Residential Detox in Hollywood, California, and the Care Forward Treatment Center in Beverly Hills. He was on staff at five different hospitals in South Florida, including Pompano Beach Medical Center, Northridge Medical Center, Holy Cross Medical Group, North Broward Medical Center and Broward General. Robert Treuherz, MD, has also owned and operated a private practice in Greater San Bernardino and South Florida.

Dr. Robert Treuherz worked for Kaiser Permanente in Riverside, where he started the first system wide ethics committee to ensure patient access to needed care. He has also served on Hospital Based Executive Committees, Peer Review Committees, Medical Records Committees, etc.
He was Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1996. He was certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
He laid the foundation for his career in Internal Medicine by completing clinical research with New York Medical College and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY. His primary focus in his medical practice was treating patients in Critical Care settings and general hospital based Internal Medicine.

Dr. Robert Treuherz wrote several articles for the Mountain News, a local newspaper based in the San Bernardino County community of Lake Arrowhead. These articles include “Tears of the Mountains” and “Helping Folks Overcome Addiction.” Robert Treuherz has also written an autobiographical book called 10 Second Chances. Spanning 500 pages, this book takes readers through his series of near-death experiences that began with a serious car accident in 2015 and ended with a heart transplant in 2024.
